Project Description

Faculty of applied sciences expands, enriches and advances its academic and practical work, adapting to contemporary trends and standards, and above all to the labor market. Curricula of the Faculty of Applied Sciences are conceptualized on the experiences of European universities such as Stuttgart, Karlsruhe, and Vienna Technical University etc. The fifth semester includes practical work, with the possibility of developing it in the aforementioned centers, with which UT has signed a cooperation agreement.

Studies at the Faculty of Applied Sciences are organized according to model 3 (graduation) + 2 (master).

Study programs of Architecture, Civil Engineering, Economic Engineering, Geodesy, and Geoinformatics & Traffic and Transportation Engineering prepare professional and qualified staffs, who are very easily involved in the practical work of construction workers, in organizations for urbanization and design, in geodesy institutes, metallurgical industry.

Mechatronics represents a discipline on mechanical systems, sensor systems, microchip players’ systems. Engineers of Mechatronics are employed in education (as scientific or professorial associates), private firms (managers, managers of a job), mechanical engineering companies, automotive industry or in the field of technology and communication, programming of machines for technological processing of work, as well as the diagnosis of damage and faults.

Employment opportunities are also offered in medicine where different modern appliances are used. For the purpose of organizing the genuine teaching process and the development of competencies, several cabinets equipped with modern equipment are in operation: the 3D design cabinet (USAID donation) and a construction materials control laboratory (donation from the Technical University of Stuttgart).
