The study programs of Faculty of Philosophy are designed according to the principles of the Bologna System.

 

These study programs will adapt to the dynamics of reforms in the education system in the country and will be harmonized with contemporary trends in education.

 

The faculty’s aim is the students to gain:

PEDAGOGY STUDY PROGRAM

 

Students are allowed to deal with a large number of activities such as: planning and implementation of educational process, with pedagogical professional work in preschool education process, elementary and secondary schools, children's theaters, etc. Second cycle graduates (master) will be equipped with competencies such as: planning and implementation of developmental and applicative research, advisory work, cooperation with parents and parental organizations, personnel services of higher systems (internal training, permanent learning).  

 

PSYCHOLOGY STUDY PROGRAM

 

The conception and organization of psychology studies is consistent with the recommendations of the European Agency for Psychology "EPA", in order studies to be compatible with other psychology studies in Europe. This conceptualization provides study organization according to 4 +1 model and supplies the students with competencies to work in primary, secondary and tertiary education, working in NGOs, institutes, hospitals, professional interdisciplinary teams, counseling etc.

 

SOCIOLOGY STUDY PROGRAM

 

Except that the students gain the appropriate knowledge for working in the educational process, sociology graduates are being trained for independent scientific-research activities, giving professional contribution for the society they live, working in multicultural and multi-religious societies, etc. After the second cycle, Sociology graduates will have the opportunity to place their developed competencies into a range of organizations and institutes: the public media, economic research institutes, cultural and political institutions, NGOs, etc.

 

PHILOSOPHY STUDY PROGRAM

 

Four-year undergraduate studies enable the student to be informed with various basic concepts, schools and movements in philosophy. In this regard, the student acquires knowledge of all the methods and philosophical disciplines, which are related to undergraduate studies in this area of knowledge. Philosophy graduate is equipped with criticizing and logical concepts to put in function the personal competencies in the education process. Master cycle enables the students to work in secondary and tertiary education, analytical teams, research institutions etc.  

 

HISTORY STUDY PROGRAM

 

History graduates are qualified for work in institutions where is stored or processed the historical material (archives, museums, institutes of history). Master cycle studies pays special attention to research projects related to social researches, general opinion, migrations etc. 

 

ORIENTAL PHILOLOGY STUDY PROGRAM

Oriental Philology study program offers a four-year studies helping the student become familiar with the fundamental and professional orientations in the field of Arabic and Turkish languages and literature‚Äč‚Äč, through compulsory and elective courses, as well as oriented towards professional and scientific-research activity, and at the same time towards postgraduate studies.  

The graduates become qualified lecturers of Arabic and Turkish language and literature in elementary and secondary schools, as well as other institutions such as NGOs, cultural heritage institutes, etc. Studies last 4 (four) years, and the students earn 240 credits (ECTS).
