Faculty of Applied Sciences expands, enriches and enhances its academic and practical work, adapting to the trends and contemporary standards, primarily to the labor market.

Study programs of Faculty of Applied Science are envisaged based on the experiences of European universities, such as Stuttgart, Karlsruhe, Vienna Technical University, etc. The fifth semester comprises practical work, with the opportunity to be carried out in the above mentioned centers, with which the SUT has signed agreements of cooperation.

Studies in the Faculty of Applied Sciences are organized according to the model 3 (undergraduate) + 2 (master).

Study program of Architecture, Civil engineering and Economic Engineering prepare professional and qualitative staffs who now easily engage in construction activities, in the organizations for urbanization and designing, in geodetic institutes and metallurgical industry.

Mechatronics represents a discipline on mechanical systems, sensor systems, systems of actors of micro measurers. Engineers of mechatronics can be employed in: education (scientific associate or lecturer), private companies (manager, supervisor), mechanical enterprises, in the automotive industry or in the field of technology and communication, programming of machines for technological work processing and damage and faults diagnosis. They are also offered employment opportunities in health care where various modern appliances are used.

For the purposes of the organization of genuine education process and the development of competencies among students, many cabinets equipped with modern apparatus are put in function: cabinet for 3D design (donated by USAID) and a laboratory for inspection of construction materials (donation from the University of Stuttgart).
