UT attended the Scientific Conference titled “Balkan sports – Developments and Perspectives”

The one-day Scientific Conference titled “Balkan sports – developments and perspectives” organized on May 20, 2017, by “Marin Barleti” University of Durrës, Republic of Albania, was also attended by scholars from the Faculty of Physical Culture of the University of Tetova. The aim of this regional conference was to promote the community of Western Balkan countries and to help them accelerate the European integration.

 In this conference were presented proceedings, ideas and recommendations for enhancing the quality of physical education and sports by professors, scholars, sports personalities and sports journalists. In addition to these, in this conference spoke also the representatives of the Ministry of Education and Sports of Albania; “Marin Barleti” University of Tirana, Sports University of Tirana, Aleksandër Xhuvani University of Elbasan, University of Pisa from Italy, University of Ioannina from Greece, University of Tetova from Macedonia, University of Prishtina “Hasan Prishtina” from Kosovo, Veliko Tarnovo University from Bulgaria, the Albanian Olympic Committee and the Football Federation of Albania.

Professors of the Faculty of Physical Culture of the University of Tetova at this conference presented the papers on the topic of: “Wrestling then and now in the Republic of Macedonia", by Prof. Dr. Vullnet Ameti. This scientific paper was presented by Doc. Dr. Blerim Saiti and Doc. Dr. Shpresa Memishi.

 

In this conference were presented a total of 27 different scientific papers by working groups with participation of 68 scholars and specialists of physical education and sports.
