At the University of Tetova today was organized the next activity within the Twinnig project, a project of the Ministry of Education and Science, which is realized in partnership with UT. Before the participants in this seminar, the Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, Prof. Dr. Arbër Çeliku presented his experience during his visit to Belfast, Northern Ireland.

According to him, the purpose of this visit was to get familiarized with the best practices in the UK, bringing experiences on how to co-operate between government, universities and the private sector. He demonstrated how the Queen's and Ulster University function and as he said both institutions are elite universities, funded entirely by the government, as well as ranked very high on the world ranking lists of Universities. He also made a comparison of the functioning of these universities, adding that our universities do not have enough support from the government. According to him, the Republic of Macedonia from its budget within one year allocates only 0.4% of the GDP, for science, which is a very serious signal for science in general in our country.

Present in this activity were also foreign experts who debated on developments in higher education.
