Students of the Faculty of Law of the University of Tetova took first place in intercollegiate competitions

In the intercollegiate competitions, which were organized at Goce Delçev University in Shtip, with the support of the OSCE, in honor of the International Day of Human Rights, with the participation of students from five law faculties of public and private universities from Macedonia, students of the Faculty of Law of the University of Tetova took first place. Professor Doc. Dr. Arta Bilalli Zendeli, who was the mentor of the student group, said that in this competition, students of the Faculty of Law have worked hard, so their simulated court trial gets maximum points. She thanked also Doc. Dr. Qebir Avziu for the support that he has given to the students in this competition. “On the occasion of the International Day of Human Rights, for three years in a row, in Shtip is organized such an event for students. The first year wasn’t of competing character, while the last two years were. In this event, students from law faculties of five different universities in the country participated, such as University of Tetova, University of Skopje, University of Bitola, University of Shtip and South East European University. In this competition, students competed for the first prize through a simulated court trial, which is decided on the basis of case resolution. As mentors, we choose a case for students and then we simulate it based on the verdict we receive. Students in this simulation were evaluated with maximum points (ten) by the evaluation commission consisting of court judges of Skopje, Shtip and Veles”, said Doc. Dr. Arta Bilalli Zendeli.

In this competition, Master’s student at the Faculty of Law, Kaltrina Emro, was elected the best judge, while other students of the group were highly valued for their appearances. Students that participated in this competition today conducted a meeting with the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Prof. Dr. Ferat Polisi. He thanked and congratulated the students for this achievement by saying that this success has been achieved with work, commitment and genuine cooperation between professors and students.
