At the University of Tetova, today on April 14, 2020, the candidate Mr. Sc. Alim Hajredini successfully defended his PhD thesis, titled: “Development of some conditioning skills of young athletes and karate players aged 10-12 years and 12-14 years during the one-year training process” and received the title of Doctor of Science in the field of kinesiology.
The PhD defense was conducted through the online platform Google Meet, based on Article 3 of the Decree with force of Law for the implementation of the Law on Higher Education during the state of emergency (Official Journal of the Republic of North Macedonia, no.76, on March 24, 2020), while all interested parties were enabled to follow up with a preliminary presentation at the e-mail address: doktoratura@unite.edu.mk.

The Commission composed of: Prof. Dr. Vullnet Ameti – chairman, members- Prof. Dr. Fadil Nika-, Prof. Dr. Bexhet Toçi, Prof. Dr. Haki Ismaili, Prof. Dr. Fadil Rexhepi, and the mentor – Prof. Dr. Visar Ganiu, highly praised the thesis and the work of the candidate during her PhD studies, by emphasizing that the study is a valuable contribution for the science of kinesiology.
Alim Ajredini was born on January 5, 1974 in the village of Ladorisht – Struga. He started his first cycle studies at the Faculty of Physical Education in Prishtina (1993-1995), while completed them at the Higher Institute of Physical Education “Vojo Kushi”, in Tirana, in 1995-1997, by specializing in Athletics. He completed his second cycle studies in Athletics, at the Academy of Physical ans Sport Education”Vojo Kushi”, in Tirana, on 2002-2004.
Since 1989 he has been actively involved in the sport of athletics and karate, and has participated in many competitions in the country and abroad, by achieving many gratitudes, diplomas and medals, both nationally and internationally. Since 1999 he has been leading the Karate Club “Drini” – Struga, while since 2009 the Athletics Club “Drini” – Struga.
During the years 1997-2002 he was engaged as an assistant at the Faculty of Physical Education, in the course of Athletics, at the University of Tetova, while in the years 2006/07 he worked at the Municipality High School “Ibrahim Temo”, – Struga. From 2007 until today, he is employed at the University of Tetova, at the Faculty of Physical Education, assistant for the courses: Athletics, Elementary Games, Aerobics, Sociology of Sports, Folk Games and Elementary and Folk Games.
The University of Tetova follows and respects the recommendations of the WHO and the relevant authorities of the country against the spread of the Covid-19, but without interrupting the overall activity of the University, being close to students, through relevant modern technologies, in all cycles of studies. This is evidenced by today’s defense of the PhD thesis.
