David L. Phillips the director of the Program on Peace-building and Rights at Columbia University’s Institute visited the University of Tetova and was received by the head of the Center for Peace and Transcultural Communication within UT, Mr. Sc. Donika Kamberi.

The purpose of the visit was to discuss the possibilities of cooperation between the two institutions represented by the parties, namely between the Institute for Peace and Human Rights and the Center for Peace and Transcultural Communication. During the conversation, they discussed about the modalities of cooperation in the field of conflict resolution and dialogue, cooperation which is expected to materialize soon.

According to the head of the Center for Peace and Transcultural Communication, “The visit of Philips is of particular importance, considering his contribution to the Albanian cause for more than three decades. He will always remain the address where we will find the facts, stories, and histories of our people first through the eyes of an intellectual who with inexhaustible passion works for the Albanians. His presence reminds us of the strong bond and unwavering orientation that we have with our historic US allies. I am happy for this friendship”, said Mr. Sc. Donika Kamberi.

As one of the laureates of this University, David L. Phillips praised the achievements of the University of Tetova and remained impressed with the achieved results. In addition to the positive words, this visit was concluded with some photos at the monument “The beacon of remembrance” and the statue of the Founder and the First Rector of UT, Prof. Dr. Fadil Sulejmani.
