At the University of Tetova, the Faculty of Food Technology and Nutrition in partnership with the Ardahan University and with representatives from Hungary, Greece, South Cyprus and Munzur University from Turkey, successfully completed the second training and the third international meeting within the Erasmus + Youth Project – KA2 (www.ifcheeseproject.com) titled: “IFCHEESE – Innovative Focus on Natural Mountain Herbal – Flavored Cheese by Protecting Traditional Production Methods”.The dean of the Faculty of Food Technology and Nutrition, Prof. Dr. Xhezahir Idrizi, emphasized that this project aims to protect the traditional methods of cheese producing. “The project aims to protect the traditional methods of cheese producing combined with aromatic and medicinal plants, by creating and protecting the domestic female producers in small farms and by creating new marketing techniques in urban and rural areas with the aim of applying the e-commerce platform with the aim of offering a traditional cheese”- said Prof. Dr. Xhezahir Idrizi.

This project started in November 2017 and besides the protection of old methods of cheese production, it also aims to keep the records of production of old methods and production of innovative methods of cheese by using herbs from different countries where this project is realized. The project will last until the end of 2019.
