In the lobby of the Rectorate of the University of Tetova, today were exhibited paintings with historical motives of the well-known artist, Prof. Dr. Miftar Memeti. In the course of the activities that were realized in honor of the 24th anniversary of the foundation, professors, students, Albanian art and culture lovers participated in the aforementioned exhibition, where present was the rector and leaders of the University of Tetova. To honor the artistic creativity of Prof. Dr. Miftar Memeti, Rector, Prof. Dr. Vullnet Ameti, awarded the renowned artist a letter of appreciation and the UT logo. He said that the letter of appreciation and the UT logo are awarded to Prof. Dr. Miftar Memeti for his contribution to the establishment of the University of Tetova, achievements for the Albanian higher education as well as the special dedication for Albanian art and culture.

While the painter, Prof. Dr. Miftar Memeti, thanked the Rector Prof. Dr. Vullnet Ameti for the praise that he and this institution do for his deeds. Within the framework of this artistic event was held the award ceremony for the best essay, devoted to the establishment of the University of Tetova. The literary competition was organized by the Faculty of Philology, where with their essays competed a considerable number of students from all academic units.
The committee, consisting of: Prof. Dr. Salajdin Salihu – chairman, Prof. Dr. Emine Shabani – member and Prof. Dr. Ejup Ajdini – member, selected the six most beautiful essays. Prof. Dr. Salajdin Salihu said that the committee during the evaluation was guided by a sense of responsibility and professionalism, focusing on the writings that are within the genre of essay. The best essay winner in this literary competition was Adelina Xhaferi from the Department of Albanian Language and Literature at the Faculty of Philology. She was awarded the first prize winner by the Rector of the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Vullnet Ameti.

For the second place, the evaluation commission chose the essays of students Blerona Brao from the Department of Albanian Language and Literature and Besarta Aliji from the Department of English Language and Literature, which was awarded by the Dean of the Faculty of Philology, Prof. dr. Dr. Fatmir Sulejmani.
Third place was awarded to Emine Dervishi from the Faculty of Law, Zulkade Nuhiu and Lulzim Selimi from the Department of Albanian Language and Literature. Third place winners were awarded the prizes by the chairman of the committee, Prof. Dr. Salajdin Salihu.
