University of Tetova, as a hub of emancipation and education of young generations in Macedonia, today in the premises of UT gathered the students from all over the country and beyond. The massive participation of high school graduates at the University of Tetova is an evidence for the commitment and dedication of the university to the new generations, so the Open Day activity aims to inform the students with the premises, conditions and opportunities that our University offers for young students, – said Vice-Rector for Education of the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Reshat Qahili.

“In the Open Day marked by the University of Tetova, participate high school graduates from different cities, such as Tetovo, Gostivar, Skopje, Kumanovo, Presevo, Kicevo, Prilep, Struga, Dibra and others and have the opportunity to get acquainted with the academic offer that we offer. Within the Open Day, all presented graduates who are interested to continue their studies in our University have the opportunity to get acquainted with the study programs offered by our University, respectively they will get acquainted with 60 study programs that operate within our 13 faculties” – said Vice-Rector for Education of the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Reshat Qahili.

Within the Open Day was organized the 2nd Food Industry Fair “Food Expo 2018” in which renowned companies from our country presented their food products.

Dean of the Faculty of Food Technology, Prof. Dr. Xhezahir Idrizi said that the faculty he manages and the university in general focus on the cooperation with local companies, and as a result, for the second year in a row, in cooperation with other bodies of the Rectorate, Center for Relations and Liaison with Businesses, and companies, organize this fair. “It is a pleasure to arrange this joint activity. This fair has come as a result of cooperation between our companies and our university. We as the Faculty of Food Technology, together with the companies, plan to do the compilation of elaborates for some new departments in the future and for the existing ones also. I think that in addition to the cooperation that we have created with some of the companies where our students carry out the practical work, the cooperation also continue in the realization of some other activities in order to raise the awareness of the people to consume the products produced by our local companies”, said Prof. Dr. Xhezahir Idrizi.

High school graduates who had come to our university premises were given the opportunity to meet the leaders of the University of Tetova and their future professors besides the information they received from faculty representatives in tents. Faculty and company tents were also visited by the Rector of the University, Prof. Dr. Vullnet Ameti, along with his team and the Student Parliament Speaker, Miss Donika Kamberi. During their visit to faculty tents, the students, besides the study programs they presented, also performed literary sessions, games and chemical experiments, while during the visit of the tents of Food Industry Fair, representatives of the companies presented their products dedicated for the domestic market.

After the visit of the tents, the Rector of the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Vullnet Ameti, together with his team, held a joint friendly meeting with representatives of companies. In gratitude for their participation at the Food Expo 2018 Fair, the Rector, Prof. Dr. Vullnet Ameti, bestowed letters of appreciation to business leaders.

By organizing the Open Day at the University of Tetova, the presence of high school graduates gave a powerful message that the only hope of new generations’ education remains our University.
