Rector of the University of Prishtina, Prof. Dr. Marijan Dema, and Vice-Rector for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Hysen Bytyqi, visited the University of Tetova. On this occasion, they held a joint friendly meeting with the Rector of the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Vullnet Ameti, General Secretary, Mr. Adem Beadini and the Head of the UT Rector’s Office, Doc. Dr. Faton Shabani.
This meeting aimed at deepening the cooperation between the two universities in different spheres, giving priority to educational processes and scientific research. The interlocutors also discussed on challenges the higher education faces today both in our country and the Republic of Kosovo.
In this meeting, particular emphasis was placed on organizing joint activities between the two universities, such as exchange of students and academic staff, organization of debates, symposiums and joint scientific conferences, active participation in various international projects, especially those funded by the European Commission in order for our universities to be in line with universities from the international arena.
After the meeting, the two rectors exchanged some symbolic gifts and jointly visited the campus of our University. Also, Rector of the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Vullnet Ameti, and Rector of the University of Prishtina, Prof. Dr. Marijan Dema, attended the chess competition organized by the Student Parliament of UT.
