Rector of UT, Prof. Dr. Vullnet Ameti welcomed the athletics club “Studenti”

Rector of the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Vullnet Ameti, welcomed in his office “Studenti” athletics club of the University of Tetova. At this meeting was present the President of the club, Prof. Dr. Bexhet Toci as well other members of the athletes club, who after the successes that they marked this year in the Macedonian league, they handed over the trophies they won to the rector of the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Vullnet Ameti.

“Studenti” athletics club is part of the University of Tetova, since its founding and has marked many results in a row over the years. Rector of the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Vullnet Ameti, said that the support of the University of Tetova during his leadership with the University has never lacked and that the same will continue in the future. “It is a pleasure for us as a University to participate with our clubs in various sports competitions in our country. Among the sports clubs operating within the University of Tetova is the athletics club “Studenti” also, a club that has produced very good athletes and true professionals. The satisfaction is even greater when we see our students representing our national team in international competitions. On behalf of the University of Tetova and in my personal name, I would like to thank all of you for your contribution that you give in this sport, at the same time I want to thank the head and the manager of the club, Prof. Dr. Bexhet Toci for his work that does with the club” – said the Rector of the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Vullnet Ameti.

Head of the athletics club “Studenti”, Prof. Dr. Bexhet Toci said that the club he leads has always scored good results. “Years ago, we won the Championship Cup and the Senior Cup, but this year we have shown satisfactory results, our club has managed to win the second and the third place and in total we have won the third place in Macedonian league. So it was a very obvious result though we only participate in running competitions and we do not compete in the technical disciplines. Only with these results of athletic disciplines we managed to be in the second place and for this we thank the rector of the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Vullnet Ameti for the support that has given to us. Never from his side and from the side of the University of Tetova haven’t we lacked the material support and we as a club decided to bestow the cups to the Rector to stay in the showcases of the University” – said Prof. Dr. Bexhet Toci.

This year the athletics club “Studenti” has the 20th anniversary of its foundation. This club counts altogether 150 athletes, 50 percent of the club are members of the national team of Macedonia and participate in all age categories, from pioneer to senior age, ranging from 6 up to 40 years old.
