First and second generation students of the University of Tetova (1994 / 1995, 1995 / 1996), on December 28, 2019, conducted their first meeting. Their alumni activity began with homage to the statue of the founder, First and Rector of UT, Prof. Dr. Fadil Sulejmani (inaugurated on the 25th anniversary of the foundation of the University). Afterwards, they had a meeting with the Rector of the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Vullnet Ameti. The aim of this meeting was to evoke the memories, difficulties, sacrifices and difficult path that the first generation students have faced in realizing the educational process. Rector of UT, Prof. Dr. Vullnet Ameti in his speech addressed to first and second generation students, said that the contribution of each of them has been crucial at the beginning of scientific educational activity of UT. He congratulated the students of the first generation for their determination that they showed at that time to pursue studies at the University of Tetova. The Rector informed them about the progress of the university during these 25 years. He also said that on the 25th anniversary of the foundation of UT, beside the inauguration of the statue of Prof. Dr. Fadil Sulejmani, the Senate has initiated the legal procedure for changing and supplementing the university name from the University of Tetova to University of Tetova “Fadil Sulejmani”.On this occasion, first and second generation students expressed their gratitude to the Rector of the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Vullnet Ameti, for the hospitality and jointly carried out some photographs in front of the statue of Prof. Dr. Fadil Sulejmani and the historical monument “The Beacon of remembrance”.
The meeting of the above-mentioned students was concluded with a solemn dinner attended by professors who lectured during 1994/1995.
