Students of the Faculty of Medical Sciences of the University of Tetova during the summer holidays, they continued their study commitments for the new knowledge in the field of medical sciences. In the framework of the inter-university cooperation agreement between the University of Tetova and the University of Trakya, students of the Faculty of Medical Sciences of our University, from July 22 to August 2, 2019, have stayed in Edirne, Republic of Turkey to carry out their professional practice. Their visit to Turkey follows the previous visits of our students who for years have been professionally benefiting from such study visits.
“The training has started on July 22, 2019 and has finished on August 2, 2019. Initially, the students met with the Rector of University of Trakya, Prof. Dr. Erhan Tabakoğlu, who expressed his satisfaction that contacts with the University of Tetova are increasing each day. He said also that Prof. Dr. Vullnet Ameti is my close friend and is pleased to welcome the guests from the Rector of the UT and in front of the students said that they will be the leaders who will lead the communities”, – said the head of the student group, Ass. Dr. Blerim Rustemi. In the aforementioned meeting, in recognition of the excellent institutional cooperation, continued support of the University of Tetova, namely the Faculty of Medical Sciences, Ass. Dr. Blerim Rustemi, on behalf of the Rector of UT, Prof. Dr. Vullnet Ameti, bestowed a symbolic gift to the Rector of University of Trakya, Prof. Dr. Erhan Tabakoğlu.
Professors of the Faculty of Medical Sciences highly appreciate such study expeditions that aim deepening of studies, acquaintance with the new technology which provides modern medicine, especially in countries like Turkey, where investments in this sector are staggering. They point out that our students have the necessary knowledge to cope with these rhythms and for this purpose, this year they selected the University of Trakya to perform professional exercises in preclinical subjects such as: Anatomy, Histology, Physiology, Pathology, etc. The students’ impressions of their stay at this university are positive and they say that the gained knowledge will serve them during their studies, but also in the profession of physician that they will practice it in the future. After completing the professional internship schedule in the pre-clinical courses, while staying in Turkey, students of the UT have also conducted several visits to tourist monuments in the city of Edirne and Istanbul, where they are closely acquainted with their cultural values and rich architectural heritage.
