Today, the Deputy Prime Minister of European Affairs of North of Macedonia, Bujar Osmani, presented to the students of our university the announced competition for selecting the best essays on the idea of the European Union, titled: “With European knowledge to the European capital “.
During his stay at the University of Tetova, the Deputy Prime Minister, Bujar Osmani, was welcomed by the Rector of the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Vullnet Ameti. He said that with the opening of negotiations with the European Union, communication between the universities and the Secretariat he leads will be intensified, with the aim of utilizing human resources, in order to face the challenges during the negotiation process. “I am grateful to the University of Tetova and Rector, Prof. Dr. Vullnet Ameti, for agreeing to be part of this initiative. I previously held a meeting with the Rector, where we talked about the possibility of identifying human resources for the various chapters, which we will open with the opening of the negotiations. These are the chapters of the economic, agriculture, environment spheres and we will need many people to cope with the challenges of these negotiations, and I think that the universities have the potential to identify these people who can contribute in the process when the working groups are formed “said Deputy Prime Minister Bujar Osmani.
Whereas, the Rector of the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Vullnet Ameti, thanked the Deputy Prime Minister, Bujar Osmani, and the Government of Macedonia for the continuous support given to our university, wishing them success in their path to the country’s membership in the Euro-Atlantic structures. “On behalf of the University of Tetova, I would like to express my gratitude to the Deputy Prime Minister, Bujar Osmani, and the Government of Macedonia for the continuous support they have given and continue to give to our university. Today we have here the Deputy Prime Minister for European Affairs, Bujar Osman, who together with the Faculty of Law and the Student Parliament will promote a project for students, where initiatives will be taken to set up an idea, a vision for the integration and the path of Euro-Atlantic processes. On behalf of the University, I wish the Government of Macedonia success in its mission of our country’s membership in the European Union and NATO soon”, emphasized the Rector, Prof. Dr. Vullnet Ameti.
After meeting the Rector, the Deputy Prime Minister, Bujar Osmani, during the presentation of the competition to the students of UT, said that the action of the Secretariat for European Affairs is in the function of reactivating all social aspects, while expecting the great decision to start negotiations with the European Union. “We’ve called this action ‘Through knowledge to the European metropolises “, based on which we have opened a competition of social science students in North Macedonia, who through essays would describe their knowledge on the European idea and our perspective for membership in the European Union. The best students will be esteemed and rewarded with a study visit to Brussels, organized by the Secretariat for European Affairs, in order for the young people to come closer to the European ideas, as well as the European Union institutions. We are very close to the final phase of membership, a phase in which is no longer a question of whether we will become, but rather when we will become a member of the EU, and these students tomorrow will be the bearers of these negotiations and of the EU processes ” , said the Deputy Prime Minister, Bujar Osmani.
The students posed a series of questions regarding the country’s membership in Euro-Atlantic structures, the involvement of young people in these processes, the importance that European Union institutions give to young people, and so on.
