University of Tetova placed the inscriptions on the houses -on its first classrooms

University of Tetova, as the institution of higher education of the Albanians of Macedonia, with a sensational history of the foundation, on the occasion of the 26th anniversary of the foundation placed plaques in all houses, the owners of that, from 1994-2004 opened their doors in the function of the University of Tetova.

Some of these houses have served as classrooms of some academic units of our University, while others have been used for administrative issues. In addition to houses, in the service of the University has been also the building of the Muftiate of Tetova. By decision of the Rector of UT, Prof. Dr. Vullnet Ameti, a commission has been formed for the verification and evidencing of spaces, where the teaching process took place at the University of Tetova in the period 1994-2004.

Based on this, on the occasion of the 26th anniversary of its foundation, today the Rector Prof. Dr. Vullnet Ameti, accompanied by the leadership of the University of Tetova, senators, deans and students, visited the owners of these houses and together have unveiled plaques, which prove the contribution, sacrifice and great support of the Albanian population for the foundation of the University of Tetova headed by the Founder, the first historical Rector of the UT, Prof. Dr. Fadil Sulejmani.

On this occasion, the Rector, Prof. Dr. Vullnet Ameti, to the owner of the house Haxhi Bari – Gani, where was signed the Act of the foundation of the University, to the owner of the house where were took place the activity of the Senate and the Student Union – Mr. Hajredin Demiri, to the owner of the house where was located a part of the Rectorate and Administration of the University of Tetova – Mr. Asan Hasani, as well as to the owners of other houses, Mr. Nezaqet Abdullahu, Latif Abdullahu, Abdulla Lika, bestowed presented the portrait of the first historical Rector of UT Prof. Dr. Fadil Sulejmani, together with the flag of UT and the national one, as well as some publications of scientific journals of the UT, which months ago were sent to the most important world centers translated into English.

This activity was concluded with the visit that took place in the Mufti of Tetova, where was commemorated the role and contribution of the Islamic Religious Community, respectively the Muftiate of Tetova, which in 1994 was into full service of the implementation of the University of Tetova.

Rector Prof. Dr. Vullnet Ameti and the Mufti of the Muftiate of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Qani Nesimi, evoked memories from the past of UT and at the same time reminded all those education lovers of all Albanian regions, who have contributed over the years for the foundation, development, and progress of the educational-scientific process of the University of Tetova.
