As part of the agenda for the 30th anniversary of the University of Tetova, last night the Faculty of Arts, the study program of Musical Art, in collaboration with the American Corner in Tetova, organized a concert dedicated to jazz music.
This event gathered representatives of the university community, the American Corner in Tetova, the U.S. Embassy, students, and music enthusiasts, creating an evening full of emotion and positive energy.
With his participation, the concert was honored by the Rector of the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli. The event was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Professor, Senad Abduli, who greeted the attendees, emphasized the importance of cultural activities for enriching academic and artistic life, the significant role of jazz music as an artistic form that inspires creativity, freedom of expression, and cultural dialogue, and thanked the American Corner for the collaboration and participation in the concert, as well as the two special guests who are in our country as part of the ‘Fulbright’ program, Ms. Michelle Morgan and Jennifer Sorrells.
The event continued with a speech by Michelle Morgan on the importance of jazz music in the U.S. and beyond, leaving the rest of the evening to the sounds of jazz, masterfully performed by the participating artists, among whom was also Jennifer Sorrells as part of the program.
This concert served as a reminder of the transformative power of music in uniting people and building bridges between different cultures.
The smooth running of the event was overseen by the Head of the study program of Musical Art, Professor Bajramali Idrizi, and the Vice-Dean for science at the Faculty of Arts, Professor, Nora Halimi.
