Student Parliament of the University of Tetova and the Faculty of Physical Education, through several sport activities marked the 245th anniversary of the declaration of Independence of the United States of America.
In honor of the 4th of July, the Independence of the United States of America was held a beach volleyball match on the sports fields of UT. In this activity were present, the Rector of the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Vullnet Ameti, Chief of his Cabinet, Prof. Dr. Faton Shabani, President of the Student Parliament, Eliesa Zhaku, Coordinator of the American Corner in Tetovo, Gëzim Sulejmani, students and many other sports-loving participants.
The President of the Student Parliament of the University of Tetova, Eliesa Zhaku assessed that this sport activity makes even more beautiful the celebration of July 4, the Independence of the United States of America, which are the best allies of the Albanian people. The Student Parliament, now for years, through various activities marks the day of the declaration of the Independence of the United States of America. We can never forget the contribution of the United States, which has given to our nation, especially their contribution to the freedom and independence of Kosovo, as well as the support they have given to the Republic of Albania and the Republic of North Macedonia to became part of the Euro-Atlantic alliance. We as a people we are lucky and blessed for the friendship we have with the USA and we must always preserve it. Also, in the future to work as much as possible, in addition to the cooperation we have with some of the most prestigious American universities, to build bridges of cooperation with many other universities and to strengthen our partnership with this friendly country of Albanians”- said the President of the Student Parliament of the University of Tetova, Eliesa Zhaku
The event to mark the 245th anniversary of U.S. Independence concluded with the awarding of several certificates for the games, as a sign of gratitude for their participation in the beach volleyball game. The certificates were awarded to the participating players by the Rector of the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Vullnet Ameti. Also, gratitude was given to the coordinator of the American Corner in Tetovo, Gëzim Sulejmani, as a sign of gratitude for the excellent cooperation, which already has been established between the American Corner in Tetovo and the University of Tetova.
