At UT, today was inaugurated one of the innovation projects, not only within the University Campus, but in the entire academic and scientific community of the region, the Technology Park “Apolon” This project was implemented thanks to the good will of the University leaders and the contribution of Prof. Dr. Kenan Ferati and his family. The inauguration of this Technology Park, which is built in three main pillars, that of technology, science and innovation, was attended by the Rector of the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Vullnet Ameti, donor Prof. Dr. Kenan Ferati, Leader of the Democratic Union for Integration, Ali Ahmeti, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of North Macedonia, Artan Grubi, Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Prof. Dr. Rahman Ismaili, academic and administrative staff of UT, students and many personalities of public, political and social life of our country.
“Today we are here at the University of Tetova to promote the Technology Park “Apolon”, where has been realized a good initiative and should be welcomed, because today this project has taken its form. The Technology Park encompasses its three constituent phases, in terms of incubation, as an initial phase, of businesses, whether standard or initial, or businesses with experience and current and genuine practices. The second phase of the Technology Park, which is also important, is that of accelerating these nascent processes, while the third phase of the Technology Park is about the sustainable development of start-up and existing businesses. So, a sustainable development of businesses in which case the positive contribution of the business community in the regional and international sense will be appreciated, knowing that here will also participate foreign companies, which will take into account their experiences in local businesses and we will also involve students to benefit from their knowledge and experience and to realize their employment”,- said Prof. Dr. Raman Ismaili, Dean of the Faculty of Economics, University of Tetova.
The opening of the Technology Park at UT was welcomed by the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of North Macedonia, Artan Grubi. He was extremely pleased to participate in the opening of the Technology Park “Apolon” and congratulated the Rector Prof. Dr. Vullnet Ameti, as well as the professors for all this work they have done, but also the private investor for the cooperation with the Rectorate in bringing these innovations within the University of Tetova, which every day is becoming more and more compatible with the challenges of the future, by enabling students further development and advancement. “I wish this technology park to be successful and not be the last step of cooperation between the Rectorate and the private sector, as well as in terms of attracting foreign investment, which will be additional opportunities for students to be employed in the future. Therefore, I congratulate the donor, I also congratulate the Rectorate for the work done and only I can express my full support from the Government for further developments of education and for the benefit of our students, that the doors will be opened for modern work, in this developed world that we are living today”- the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of North Macedonia, Artan Grubi.
The investor of this Technology Park, at the same time a professor at the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Kenan Ferati said that he has a great pleasure today, for the inauguration of the Technology Park “Apolon”, an event which has a very noble character. “For us as university staff, but also from the private sector, I feel the great satisfaction that enabled me to achieve this together with the University of Tetova. I hope that such investments, such donations will be made by us in the future, but I hope that this will be an impetus for all those educators or people of good will who want to concrete a part of them or put it in projects of this nature”- said the investor of this Technology Park, at the same time the professor at the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Kenan Ferati.
So far, the UT has managed to build a comfortable environment for the Technology Park, equipped with everything it needs, for the development of businesses and creative ideas. In the coming days, these spaces will be contracted by foreign brands, mainly American and European, which will set up their own departments, especially those of marketing services and information technology.
