This scientific activity, even though it is held in the end of the academic year 2020/2021, has mobilized us and our partners to conduct the same according to the standards and criteria that such an important research event deserves. Our university, as an institution of higher education, in addition to direct activities in the field of ecology, contributes in the field of scientific treatment of these problems, and through the Institute of Ecology and Technology we are already involved in important projects and initiatives to take measures for protecting the environment so that the younger generations to have a healthier and more dignified living environment. It is our duty to work diligently in the field of ecology and healthy environment and to implement the basic criteria, such as preserving human health, advancing the environment and preserving natural resources “- said the Vice-Rector for Science Prof. Dr. Hazir Pollozhani.
The president of the Societas Europaea Lepidopterologica, Erik van Nieukerken, said that the Field Congress 2021 brings together the international community of Lepidopterologists, with the mission of collecting butterflies and moles on Sharr Mountain. “I thank the Rector of the University of Tetova Prof. Dr. Vullnet Ameti together with his staff, for the invitation and organization of this event. The main aim of our organization is to gather those interested in butterflies and moths. We welcome professors, researchers, students and others who are interested in photographing and collecting species of butterflies and moles. To bring these people together, we need conferences. We look forward to going out in the fields and meadows and looking for species of butterflies and especially moles, because we have a lot to discover in the Sharr Mountain, and I believe we will have fruitful cooperation. Our association for the study of moths and butterflies Societas Europaea Lepidopterologica (SEL) is a European association for the study of moths and butterflies and the conservation of these insects and their natural habitats. It was founded in 1976, the association aims to promote cooperation between Lepidoptera in Europe, West Asia, and North Africa, and to promote the conservation of Lepidopterologists and its habitats”- said Erik van Nieukerken.
