A delegation of the Faculty of Physical Education of the University of Tetova, led by the Dean, Prof. Dr. Shpresa Memishi, accompanied by Prof. Dr. Fadil Mamuti, Prof. Dr. Fadil Nika and Prof. Dr. Kastriot Shaqiri, participated in the Balkan University meeting on Sport European and Programs, which was held on June 2, 2022 in Tirana, Republic of Albania.
In this meeting, which was attended by representatives of many universities and sports faculties from the Western Balkans, it was discussed about the importance of organizing sporting events in the context of European sport week. On this occasion, there was talk about the organization of a Balkan university tournament in three sports, including volleyball, basketball and futsal, with elimination system. In addition, special attention was paid to the creation of joint European programs under the Erasmus + program.
The participants in this Balkan university meeting dedicated to sports said that the main priority in the future will remain the application in various European funds to conduct a joint sports project between the Universities of Sports from the Western Balkans and the University of Rome and Vienna, where Professor from the University of Rome, Prof. Paolo Paris was nominated for project leader.
After this meeting, the Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education of the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Shpresa Memishi had a friendly meeting with the rector of the University of Sports of Tirana, Prof. Dr. Agron Kasa. Initially, Rector Kasa congratulated the Dean Prof. Dr. Shpresa Memishi for her election as head of the Faculty of Physical Education of the University of Tetova. Afterwards, the two interlocutors agreed to continue future cooperation in various national and international projects.
