Rector of the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Kushtrim Ahmeti, on the occasion of February 11 – International Day of Women and Girls in Science, awarded gratitude for a selected part of the staff for their contribution to science. The basis for this selection was precisely the largest number of citations of scientific works during the year 2022. In this meeting, he was also accompanied by the President of the Senate, Prof. Dr. Vullnet Ameti, Vice-rector for Science, Prof. Dr. Agon Memeti, the head of Office for Evaluation and Quality Management, Doc. Dr. Sheruze Osmani-Ballazhi, head of International Relations Office, Doc. Dr. Hatibe Deari – Zeqiri and the director of the Technology Park, Artina Kamberi.

Rector of the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Kushtrim Ahmeti emphasized that we as a university have continuously contributed to motivate and stimulate scientific research work, and this will be one of our main priorities in the future as well. He also expressed gratitude for the work over the years, ensuring that the support from the university will not be lacking, and today’s meeting serves to prove this.

The participants in this meeting expressed their acknowledgement to the leading staff of the University, for the appreciation they gave for their contribution to science.

February 11, designated by resolution of the United Nations General Assembly on December 22, 2015 as a date to recognize the important role women and girls play in science and technology communities, serves to raise awareness of women’s opportunities and capabilities that they have to develop in the fields of science.
