Rector of the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli participated in the third edition of the traditional cultural-scientific manifestation “The Light of Gonxhe”, that was organized in Skopje by the Institute of Spiritual and Cultural Heritage of Albanians in North Macedonia. This event coincides with the 113th anniversary of the birth and the 26th anniversary of the death of Mother Teresa and is organized in cooperation with several institutions from our country and the Republic of Kosovo, where it will include a range of activities in Skopje, Pristina, Tirana and Prizren dedicated to the life activity of Gonxhe Bojaxhiu, Saint Mother Teresa.

On this occasion, the Rector of the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli said that we are lucky to meet the nation of Mother Teresa, which She represented with the values and virtues that the whole world knows today.  “At the University of Tetova, we have organized countless events and activities of educational and scientific character, we have marked different anniversaries of our national history, we have inaugurated publications, magazines and important works of the most eminent national and international personalities, but we feel happy like never before that our University has dedicated a scientific activity – the consecration (on September 4, 2016), of Mother Teresa, Nobel Peace Prize, Albanian saint, the greatest humanist the world has known. The consecration of Mother Teresa perpetuated the values of her gigantic personality, the saint who lived among people, who taught them generosity, charity, compassion, mercy, and altruism. For the saint of love, wisdom and mercy, eminent personalities around the world have given the highest praise, for her hundreds of evaluations have been published in the world’s most prestigious magazines, dozens of books have been published about her activity, humanity, and boundless love”- said the Rector of the UT, Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli.

Rector of UT, in concluding his speech, said that Mother Teresa personifies the quintessential embodiment of civilization and humanity in her century, serving as a universal genius who belongs to both Albania and the world. She bridges the realms of the terrestrial and the celestial. Therefore, we have a national obligation to protect, remember and honor her name and figure with dimensions that transcend boundaries. For the personality and contribution of Mother Teresa, in her mission, their evaluations gave also the Director of the Institute of Spiritual and Cultural Heritage of Albanians in Macedonia, Prof. Dr. Skender Hasani, the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of our country, Mr. Artan Grubi, and Don Lush Gjergji.
