The Vice-Rector for Science of the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Agon Memeti, during today’s meeting, hosted Mark Barrett, leader of the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) for the Republic of North Macedonia and Evzi Hani, regional advisor of GIZ. This meeting was aimed at establishing cooperation between these two institutions, for the development of research capacities, their commercialization, the research of projects of common interest and the inclusion of students for practical experience in GIZ projects.
Vice-rector for Science, Prof. Dr. Agon Memeti, during this meeting, emphasized the need for the identification of common research interests, the creation of joint research projects, the exchange of staff, the possibility of financing various researches, as well as the holding of workshops and seminars for research-scientific purposes.
Meanwhile, Mark Barrett said that he will initially initiate a joint agreement, thus bringing a German expert to create a strategy based on which a concrete cooperation agreement will be established.
Otherwise, GIZ aims to implement projects that focus on promoting cooperation and regional integration in the Western Balkans.
