As part of the Erasmus+ mobility program at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Tetova, from April 29 to May 3, 2024, two professors from the Conservatory of Music “Stanislao Giacomantonio” – Cosenza, Italy, Professor Cosimo Innocenzo De Gaudio and Professor Giuseppe Santelli, will be staying for a visit.
Professor De Gaudio is of Arbëresh origin and is interested in ethnomusicology and its aspects in the Albanian regions, while Professor Santelli is not only a lecturer of pop/rock subjects, but also the author of texts for the study of this musical genre.
Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Prof. Dr. Senad Abduli, at the reception meeting of the two professors, emphasized the importance of such collaborations because the strengthening of institutional ties between European academies and universities is one of the priorities of the Faculty of Arts.
Vice-Dean for Science of the Faculty of Arts, Prof. Dr. Nora Halimi, who together with the coordinator for Erasmus+, MSc. Shpresa Ademi, who made this training possible, considers that at a time when education is a global challenge, the Erasmus+ mobility platform opens the doors to a world full of opportunities and promotes the exchange of knowledge and international academic cooperation. She believes that students and the artistic community will benefit from the exchange of new perspectives that the professors in question can bring.
The professors from Italy continued their visit to the premises of the study program of Musical Art where they were received by the head of this program, Prof. Dr. Bajramali Idrizi, the staff of professors and students.
The Faculty of Arts, through mobility platforms and beyond, continues to work on raising the quality of the academic offer both for students and for those who claim to be part of our University in the future.
