Rector of the University of Tetova Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli and the Dean of the Faculty of Applied Sciences, Prof. Dr. Enis Jakupi, on July 11, 2024, participated in the Engineering Ring event that was organized by the Engineering Institution of North Macedonia and the Association of Societies of Engineers. The Faculty of Applied Sciences of the University of Tetova has joined this activity for the first time.
The Engineering Ring is an award given to students who graduated in the Republic of North Macedonia with the highest average grade, while this year, the Commission for verifying the documents of candidates nominated for the Engineering Ring award, has also selected a student from the University of Tetova, Adina Osmani from the study program Engineering of Traffic and Transportation at the Faculty of Applied Sciences, as one of the winners of the Engineering Ring, together with 14 other candidates.
The Engineering Institution of North Macedonia is the largest and oldest organization that unites engineers from all disciplines, pursuing their commitments to face challenges – improving the social climate for engineering and encouraging young people to chose a profession in engineering. Since 2003, this organization has been the voice of engineering among young people, which decides on the division of the Engineering Ring. Seven years later, this mission is joined by the Chamber of certified architects and certified engineers in cooperation with the President of the country, in a manifestation that is traditionally held in Ohrid, while this year the Faculty of Applied Sciences of the UT was also part of this event.
At this event were present many dignitaries such as the Minister of Education, rectors and deans of all faculties and universities participating in the event.
