Within the framework of the ‘Zero Waste’ project, which is supported by the Presidency of Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency and the TIKA Program Coordination Office in North Macedonia, the Faculty of Food Technology and Nutrition at UT will conduct certified training and specialization for first and second cycle students who aspire to engage in the most advanced companies in terms of green transformation in Turkey in the future.

The project in question is in the initial phase and aims to encourage students to be involved in the industry with the new standards of technology and green innovation.

Project coordinator Prof. Dr. Erhan Sulejmani emphasized that the project includes 3 modules of which the first two are theoretical and the third module includes practical advancement in the most developed companies in the matter of green transformation in Turkey.

The “Zero Waste” project is an important part of the economy, recycling, reuse and gas emissions. The Green Transformation and Green Deal processes, including the countries of Southeast Europe, aim to make Europe neutral to climate change by 2050, revitalize the economy through green technology, create sustainable industries and reduce pollution.

This is a strategic objective not only for EU member countries, but also for other countries that implement the relevant regulations of the United Nations and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).
