Within the framework of the project “Digital Security and Ethics” of the Faculty of Pedagogy at the University of Tetova, supported by the Macedonian Center for Civic Education (MCCE) – Skopje, a training session was conducted with students of the secondary school Gymnasium “Kiril Pejçinoviq” – Tetovo, on the topic “Digital Security”.

The activity was opened with welcoming remarks by the Dean of the Faculty of Education, Prof. Dr. Lulzim Mehmedi; the Director of the Gymnasium “Kiril Pejçinoviq” – Tetovo, Prof. Jeton Kamberi; as well as the Director of the Macedonian Civic Education Center (MCEC) – Skopje, Mr. Besnik Ramadani. In their speeches, they emphasized the importance of addressing topics related to the safe, responsible, and informed use of technology and the internet by young people.

After the introductory part, the training was conducted by Prof. Dr. Florim Idrizi, professor and dean at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, who addressed important issues with the gymnasium students related to digital security, protection in the online space, awareness of internet risks, and forms of safe behavior in the digital environment.

The training was held at the premises of the Faculty of Pedagogy at the University of Tetova in an interactive format, including discussions, workshops, and group work, with active participation from the students throughout the activity. Through this engagement, students had the opportunity to expand their knowledge on the importance of digital security in everyday life.

This activity represents one of the first steps in the implementation of the project “Digital Security and Ethics”, which aims to promote a culture of safe, ethical, and responsible use of technology among pupils and students.
