At the University of Tetova the International Congress of Natural Health Sciences, Medical Sciences, and Technology began its proceedings, a significant scientific event that brings together academics, researchers, and professionals from various countries around the world to share their knowledge and experiences. This congress includes the following: the 10th International Balkan Conference on Sport Sciences; the 9th International Scientific Conference on Applied Sciences; the 8th International Scientific Conference of the Faculty of Medical Sciences; the 7th International Conference of Natural Sciences and Mathematics and; the 5th International Conference of Food Technology and Nutrition; and the 3rd International Conference on Sustainable Agriculture Farming System.

At the solemn ceremony, the audience was addressed by the Rector of the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli. He stated that this year’s congress reflects the continuous effort to advance knowledge and create new opportunities for international research. According to him, various topics such as sustainable development, new technologies, healthcare, further influenced by climate and social changes, will be the focus of discussions among scientific researchers. “We are confident that each of you, with your experience, will offer new ideas and perspectives, which will directly impact the improvement of society and the further development of various research and innovation sectors. For the University of Tetova, this congress is an opportunity to strengthen ties with universities and other scientific institutions from around the world. We are convinced that this international collaboration is the key to advancing science and achieving new milestones, creating opportunities for the exchange of ideas and the formation of sustainable partnerships”, – said among other things the Rector of the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli.

Vice-Rector for Science at the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Vullnet Ameti, also spoke about the congress, stating that this congress, now consolidated in tradition and recognized for the quality of its scientific content, represents a fruitful interdisciplinary crossroads where ideas meet, knowledge merges, and collaborations come to life. “In this open forum, critical thinking, advanced research, and the vision for the future find their highest expression. Therefore, this scientific event once again proves that our university mission is elevated by science. At a time when the world faces unprecedented challenges—from climate change to rapid technological transformations, from global pandemics to dealing with economic and political uncertainties—the most sustainable and powerful response comes from knowledge, scientific research, and inter-institutional cooperation. This congress is, in fact, a living testimony of this collective commitment: to build bridges between disciplines, to unite knowledge, and to contribute to creating a society more aware of the challenges it must overcome and find adequate solutions for. The keynote speaker at this congress was the internationally renowned neurosurgeon, Prof. Dr. Mentor Petrela, who delivered a lecture on the topic: “Artificial Intelligence: A Window We Must Opened Now”.

As part of this congress, the new issues of the scientific journals of the University of Tetova were also presented, including: Acta Medica Balkanica – issue 17-18; International Journal of Food Technology and Nutrition – issue 13-14; Journal of Applied Sciences – issue 19-20; Journal of Natural Sciences and Mathematics of the UT – issue 17-18; SPORT AND HEALTH – issue 23-24 and Journal of Agriculture and Sustainable Rural Development – ​​issue 3-4.

At the conclusion of the formal ceremony, the Rector of the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli, as a sign of gratitude and appreciation for his participation, presented Dr. Mentor Petrela with a gift featuring a portrait of Mother Teresa. Meanwhile, the Vice -Rector for Science, Prof. Dr. Vullnet Ameti, presented Dr. Petrela with the Monograph of the University of Tetova.
