As part of the project of the International Organization for Migration (IOM), in collaboration with the University of Tetova, was held a professional lecture today on the topic: “Beyond the Lecture: Practical Approaches to Student-Centered Teaching”.
This activity was conducted in an interactive manner, where the presenter, Prof. Dr. Florentina Halimi – a professor at Gulf University for Science and Technology in Kuwait, offered an innovative approach to the teaching process that emphasizes the importance of active student engagement, overturns the traditional structure, and bases teaching on scientific research. This approach aims to enhance the quality of learning and prepare students for the challenges of the labor market.
At the center of the discussion were three key elements: active learning – encouraging student participation through discussions, group work, and problem-solving; the flipped classroom – reviewing the structure of teaching by using materials before class to deepen practical work in the classroom; and research-based teaching – integrating research findings into lesson plans to increase effectiveness.
