The two-day training “Peace Designer Training” was held at the University of Tetova on June 4–5, 2025, as part of the Innov8Peace project, funded by the European Union, with the participation of 20 students from the University of Tetova.

During the two-day training in Tetova, 20 students from the University of Tetova engaged in an intensive learning experience that included analyzing social challenges in the community; generating ideas for sustainable solutions; reflecting on their role as agents of change; co-creating and presenting peacebuilding projects.

After successfully completing the training, these young people are now officially certified as “Peace Designers,” equipped with knowledge and practical tools to take action in their communities and beyond.

The training was conducted by mentors Prof. Ejona Icka and MSc. Mikaela Llalla, who led this transformative process and supported the new generation of trainers: Amra Azizi, Besjana Izeiri, and Elma Sulejmani.

At the end of the training, certificates of participation were awarded by Asst. Prof. Dr. Agron Iljazi, project coordinator from the University of Tetova, Prof. Ejona Icka, Executive Director of YSP Balkans and training mentor, and MSc. Mikaela Llalla, Deputy Secretary General of YSP Europe and Middle East, Project Manager of INNOV8PEACE, and training mentor.
