At the University of Tetova, was held a workshop titled “Prevention of delinquency: from awareness to action”, organized by the Faculty of Philosophy, the Faculty of Law, and the Faculty of Pedagogy, with the participation of high school students and representatives of professional services.

The activity began with an opening ceremony, where the Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy, Prof. Dr. Kushtrim Ahmeti, emphasized the importance of a comprehensive approach in addressing delinquency among youth. He underlined that this phenomenon requires the cooperation of educational institutions, the family, and society. “Prevention begins with awareness and continues with responsible action. No one is born delinquent; it is a shared responsibility to create conditions for young people to develop in a healthy way and make the right decisions”, he stated.

As part of the opening ceremony, Prof. Dr. Afrim Osmani addressed the topic “The juvenile justice system in North Macedonia”, providing an overview of legal mechanisms and measures aimed at the protection, rehabilitation, and reintegration of minors.

The workshop continued with two interactive sessions conducted by Prof. Dr. Ardita Abduli Reka, Prof. Dr. Sheruze Osmani Ballazhi, Prof. Dr. Besa Havziu Ismaili, and Asst. Dr. Nazmije Shaqiri, who addressed practical and educational aspects of preventing deviant behavior among youth.

As part of this activity, a recognition ceremony was also organized for representatives of professional services from high schools in Tetovo, as a sign of appreciation for their contribution and ongoing commitment to supporting students and improving their well-being in the school environment. Certificates were also awarded to the participating students, bringing to a close an important educational and awareness-raising activity on the role of each individual in preventing delinquency.
