Rector of the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli, accompanied by the Vice-Rector for International Relations, Prof. Dr. Salajdin Salihi, today hosted on an official visit the UN Resident Coordinator, Ms. Rita Columbia. During the visit, she presented the platform for the coalition of universities within the framework of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
During the presentation, the importance of networking higher education institutions in the context of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) was emphasized, aiming to increase the role of universities in education, scientific research, and having a concrete impact on society. The proposed platform aims to strengthen knowledge about the SDGs within universities, encourage research focused on solving real challenges, and develop multilateral partnerships at both the local and global levels.
Rector of the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli, welcomed this initiative, stating that it is an important step towards enhancing the role of the University of Tetova in global initiatives for sustainable development, positioning it as an active partner in the network of universities committed to the future of society.
