This publication represents a rare didactic material, intended for students, for learners of Macedonian as a foreign language, for teachers and professors, as well as for all other users who wish to master the phonetic-phonological and morphological norms of the Macedonian language. It is the result of many years of work (almost two decades) by the authors with students from all faculties and study programs at the University of Tetova who are learning contemporary Macedonian language.
In the creation of this teaching material, the methodological principles of systematization, coherence, practice, clarity, conciseness, simplicity, and efficiency were applied. Special attention was given to style during the development process, with the primary goal being to ensure an effective application in teaching the Macedonian language to the targeted user group. The grammar consists of two parts: the first part covers educational units from the field of phonetics and phonology, while the second part focuses on morphology. Each unit is presented in a simple style, tailored to the intended user group. The units are supplemented with creative examples, exercises, and dictionaries. Some of the theoretical definitions, methods for forming certain word groups, etc., have been translated into Albanian to make the content easier to understand.
The use of most of the content has already been confirmed by the authors through their many years of work with students, which ensures a high level of confidence in the effectiveness of this text.
During the launch of the book “Macedonian grammar that unites (Македонска граматика што зближува) – Part One (Прв дел)”, the reviewers also spoke: Prof. Dr. Berton Sulejmani – Dean of the Faculty of Philology at the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Veselinka Labroska – Scientific Advisor/Full Professor at the Institute of Macedonian Language “Krste Misirkov”, Corresponding Member of the Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts (MASA), and Full Professor in the Macedonian Language Program at the Faculty of Philology at the University of Tetova, as well as Prof. Dr. Stojka Bojkovska – Full Professor (retired) from the Faculty of Philology “Blaže Koneski” in Skopje.
The promotion was also enriched with a creative touch through the involvement of students, considering that the textbook is primarily intended for them.
The authors concluded the promotion by emphasizing that the book is beneficial for both parties – for the authors, it provides a sense of excitement, while for the readers, it offers the opportunity for mastery. They promised that as long as there is interest in knowledge, they will continue to create, and that work on the second part of the text that has already begun.
