Today at the University of Tetova, was promoted the book “Rrëfenjat e mia” (“My Tales”) by the author Dr. Valmir Aziri. This poetic work brings a deep dimension of the human spirit — an inner journey that touches the boundaries of feeling, silence, and poetic reflection.

The reviewer, and at the same time professor at the Faculty of Arts at our University, Prof. Dr. Metin Izeti, emphasized that this poetry collection is a sincere and painful narrative of an author who describes personal suffering, hope, and deep reflection on life.

“The book “Rrëfenjat e mia” (“My Tales”) is a journey through the invisible anatomy of the soul: broken bones that become mountains, wounds that melt into rivers, and hospital machines that sing dark chorales. In this space, each poem is a map written on flesh. Ermal, our Hektorian hero, does not fight against external lands, but against the lands he carries within himself. His broken bones are rocks sanctified by suffering; the blood spilled is a waterfall born from them. The hospital here is not a building, but a metaphysical landscape: the machines are the iron trees of a modern forest, their noise is the melody under which heartbeats seek a lost rhythm”, – said, among other things, Prof. Dr. Metin Izeti.

Professor Prof. Dr. Vebi Bexheti also shared his evaluations of the book, elaborating on the significance of this work in the context of contemporary Albanian literature, the modern message of the poetry, its aesthetic sensitivity, and the author’s creativity as part of the new generation of poets. “The poetic verses of this work are the result of a powerful creative potential, evident in every song of the author’s tales. The poetic outbursts of the lyrical verses included in this work also reflect, in a broader dimension, our ancient history, stopping at the fairies who dance in the meadows while Gjergj Elez Alia lies with nine wounds on his body, all the way to more recent times, with an emphasis on love for settlements and the natural beauty of the Albanian geographical landscape. These poetic verses, with all their artistic strength, aesthetic beauty, symbols, figures, and meaningful metaphors that reflect layers of subtextual significance, come as an added value to contemporary Albanian poetry”,- emphasized Prof. Dr. Vebi Bexheti.

Meanwhile, poet Lulzim Haziri shared his impressions of the author’s poetry and the way it communicates with the reader. “This book is a courageous poetic journey about parental love that wanders through the corners of pain and the paths of hope. The son, Mali, through the chilling breath of the verses, rises as a metaphor of resilience, revealing an emotional landscape of a wounded soul. ‘My Tales’, through powerful language and pure emotions, unfolds a wide range of intimate stories that move between hope, suffering, and prayer. With his first book, the author articulates the human cry that rises to the peaks of pain and love”, expressed Lulzim Haziri.

The graphic design professor and author of the work, Mr. Doc. Valmir Aziri, thanked all attendees for their participation and expressed that this book, while dedicated to his son, is also a tribute to his wife, who is the true heroine of the work. “This tale is dedicated to my son, but above all, it is a homage to Behare—Ermal’s mother and heroine. She is the Rozafa of our tower, who with her flesh and soul has laid the foundations of our family. Her sacrifice is our bridge of survival, the strength that keeps us unbreakable in the face of every trial. She reflects every mother who sheds tears over her child’s wounds, who silently fights invisible battles and carves courage from pain. A mother who never accepts defeat, but transforms pain into life, wounds into strength, and hope into light”, said the author, Dr. Valmir Aziri.

As part of the promotional event, actors Ermal Çanga and Sheqerije Ilazi recited poetry, bringing depth of emotion and an artistic touch that enriched this cultural activity.
