At the University of Tetova were held “Open Day” and “Career Fair”, where were present a significant number of high school graduates from all the cities of North Macedonia and beyond. The “Open Day” aims for the graduates to get to know the academic offer of the University, the infrastructural conditions, the laboratories, the innovations of the study programs and the many opportunities that the University offers, so that future students are as well-prepared as possible for the job market.
Vice-Rector for Education Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Neziri, stated that this year’s Open Day is organized with a comprehensive agenda, featuring presentations from 13 faculties and 98 study programs. These presentations focus on the nature of the study programs and the competencies students will gain upon completion, aiming to facilitate communication with graduates and assist them in making informed decisions about their future. Additionally, Vice-Rector for Education Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Neziri, highlighted the introduction of new study programs at the University this academic year. “This academic year at the University of Tetova, four new programs have been added to the list of study programs: Veterinary Medicine in the Faculty of Agriculture, Cosmetics and Aesthetics in the Faculty of Medical Sciences, Biology and Chemistry adapted for primary schools within the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, and Business Informatics within the Faculty of Business Administration. The University of Tetova constantly generalizes the study programs in accordance with the requirements of the labor market”, – said the Vice-Rector for Education, Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Neziri.
Vice-Rector for Science, Prof. Dr. Agon Memeti, said that the career fair, as a platform, really represents a bridge between students, academic staff, and the business community. “Today at our university, we mark another event: the Career Fair. This important platform fosters cooperation between students, academic staff, and the business community. We have opened our doors to a significant number of companies and organizations spanning various industries such as food production, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, cooperatives, bookstores, and many others. These entities are interested in engaging our students in their respective fields of interest. This presents an incredible opportunity for students to explore employment possibilities, establish contacts with professionals across different sectors, and seek guidance for career development. Our university is the place where new talents are formed and developed, and this fair is a chance for graduates to make their first contacts and prove their skills in the labor market”, stressed the Vice-Rector for Science, Prof. Dr. Agon Memeti.
