At the Rectorate Square of the University of Tetova, today were held two important events— the Open Day and the Career Fair — which were attended by a large number of high school graduates, students, and representatives from various companies.
The Rector of the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli, said that the Open Day is a great opportunity to promote our values alongside responsibility, commitment, and a vision for the future. “We are here on Open Day to present our academic offerings to all young people, our high school graduates, and on this occasion, we urge everyone to consider the University of Tetova and choose one of our study programs, because based on the infrastructure we have as a higher education institution, our academic staff, administrative services, and the partnerships we hold, such as the partnership with the Chamber of Commerce, we are ready to give our best for this academic year so that high school graduates are convinced to choose this temple of knowledge. The partnership with the Chamber of Commerce is important to ensure that our programs are aligned with the demands of the market economy, and the graduates will be ready to serve businesses, citizens, and other state institutions”, – said among other things, the Rector of the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli.
The President of the Economic Chamber of North-Western Macedonia, Mr. Mendi Qyra, thanked the University of Tetova for this initiative and emphasized that the Chamber of Commerce (ECNWM) and businesses in general are in symbiosis with universities and the education system, especially now that there is a labor force shortage in North Macedonia. “We expect this institution of knowledge to produce graduates who will help businesses in general, and we believe that this collaboration will continue, as we will provide our requirements, while the university will offer suitable professionals for the economy, which, unfortunately, has recently faced a significant shortage in the labor market due to migration.’ – stated the President of the Economic Chamber of North-Western Macedonia, Mr. Mendi Qyra.
Through these activities, visitors had the opportunity to get acquainted with the study programs, academic capacities, and opportunities offered by the University of Tetova for further studies. The faculties presented their offerings through informational materials, interactive presentations, and direct meetings with potential students.
At the same time, at the Career Fair, various local and regional companies promoted their products, services, and employment and professional internship offers. Students and graduates had the opportunity to create important contacts and learn about the current demands of the job market.
At the conclusion of the event, as a sign of gratitude and appreciation for the collaboration, our University awarded certificates of appreciation to the participating companies at the Career Fair.
