Within the framework of the INNOVA8PEACE project: “Design Thinking for Youth Peacebuilders– Erasmus+ KA210 Youth Programme”, the University of Tetova, in cooperation with partners, the International Association of Youth and Students for Peace – Europe and the Middle East (IAYSP) and CARP from Romania, organized the “Training of Trainers” activity, which took place from 7 to 12 May 2025, in Tetovo. The aim of this training was to empower young people in peacebuilding and prepare them as trainers of the future.

Representatives of the partner organizations were welcomed by the Rector of the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli, and the President of the Senate, Prof. Dr. Kenan Ferati. During the meeting, was discussed the progress of the training, as well as the opportunities for expanding cooperation on various projects that will contribute to the promotion and overall development of our students and youth in general. The attendees also had the opportunity to visit several areas of the University of Tetova campus.

The University of Tetova was represented by the Project Coordinator, Asst. Prof. Dr. Agron Iljazi, and students Besjana Izairi, Amra Azizi, and Elma Sulejmani.

During this intensive training, participants had the opportunity to delve into topics of great importance to society, such as: drafting and designing peacebuilding projects; advanced methods for effective communication during trainings; techniques for identifying and clearly defining the issues to be addressed; and the most efficient ways to engage and lead the peacebuilding process and dialogue development.

This training equipped the students with practical and theoretical knowledge, which will help them not only during their academic journey, but also in preparing them to be trainers of the future – bearers of the values ​​of peace, cooperation and understanding in every community where they will operate.
