Faculty of Pedagogy of the University of Tetova and the Faculty of Education of Masaryk University (Czech Republic), on September 10, 2025, signed a Memorandum of Understanding, which aims to strengthen academic and scientific cooperation between the two institutions.

The agreement was signed by the Dean of the Faculty of Pedagogy, Prof. Dr. Lulzim Mehmedi, and the Dean of the Faculty of Education of Masaryk University, Dr. Simon Korychankova. Both parties agreed to deepen their collaboration in the areas of scientific research, development of teaching materials, organization of conferences and seminars, as well as the implementation of internship programs for teachers. Special emphasis will be placed on the development of innovative educational and psychological practices, particularly in the field of inclusive education.

“We value the opportunity to continue cooperation and explore new perspectives together with Masaryk University”, emphasized Dean Mehmedi.

This memorandum builds on the positive experience of the joint participation of both universities in the Erasmus+ and Visegrad+ projects, opening new opportunities for academic dialogue and contributing to the sustainability of joint educational and scientific initiatives.

The signing of the agreement coincided with the international training “Supporting Inclusive Education and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)”, held from September 8–12 at the Faculty of Education at Masaryk University. The training was attended by professors from the Faculty of the Pedagogy of the University of Tetova: Prof. Dr. Lulzim Mehmedi, Asst. Prof. Dr. Teuta Ramadani-Rasimi, Prof. Dr. Arita Agai, Prof. Dr. Arbëresha Zenki-Dalipi, as well as Prof. Dr. Hana Saliu from the Faculty of Philosophy.
The activity was carried out within the framework of the international Visegrad+ project “Towards Inclusive Practices and Positive Behavior Support in Education and Social Work”, which brought together universities and institutions from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, North Macedonia, and Ukraine. The program included presentations, practical workshops on ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis), and the development of an online course for teachers, social workers, and professionals in the field.
Faculty of Pedagogy at the University of Tetova expresses its gratitude for the warm hospitality of Masaryk University and for the contributions of colleagues from Ukraine, emphasizing that this partnership strengthens the joint development of inclusive education in an international context.
