University of Tetova, namely the Faculty of Pedagogy, signed a memorandum of strategic cooperation with the SOS Children’s Village (North Macedonia), laying the foundations for a long-term partnership in the field of education and social development.
The memorandum was signed by the heads of the two institutions, Prof. Dr. Lulzim Mehmedi and Juliana Nakova–Gapo. It aims to strengthen institutional cooperation, develop human capital, and support young people through joint educational and social initiatives.
This cooperation is intended to implement projects at both national and international levels, promote civic and humanitarian values, and advance the academic capacities of the Faculty of Pedagogy.
Within the framework of this memorandum, the cooperation between the two institutions will focus on the development of educational and professional activities, including the organization of student internships and field-based learning, the engagement of students in volunteer initiatives and community projects, as well as the implementation of training programs, seminars, and conferences. At the same time, the parties will work on exchanging expertise and conducting joint research in socially relevant areas, such as social policies, children’s rights, and youth development.
Furthermore, the cooperation will involve engaging students in initiatives to raise public awareness and mobilize the community, as well as creating opportunities for professional development and employment.
This partnership represents an important step toward linking education with practice and strengthening the university’s role in societal development, contributing to the preparation of a new generation of professionals with contemporary skills and social sensitivity.
