Faculty of Pedagogy of the University of Tetova participated as a partner in the 8th International Conference titled “Shaping the Future: Education & Innovation in a Digital Society”, organized by University “Aleksandër Moisiu” – Durrës, specifically by the Faculty of Education, which was held on April 29 and 30 in Durrës.
The conference was officially opened with the participation of academics, researchers, and professionals from various countries, creating an important space for the exchange of ideas and discussion on the role of education and innovation in the digital era. The event was welcomed by the Rector of UAMD, Shkëlqim Fortuzi, as well as by the dean of the Faculty of Education, Klodiana Leka, who emphasized the importance of international cooperation and the transformation of education in the face of contemporary challenges.
In this scientific event, the Faculty of Pedagogy of UT was represented with the paper: “Games and their role in learning mathematics in primary education classes”, by the authors Prof. Dr. Besa Havziu-Ismaili, Prof. Dr. Lulzim Mehmedi, Prof. Dr. Makfirete Ameti, and Merita Ajdini, which addressed the role of play and gamification in the acquisition of mathematical concepts in primary education.
Additionally, Dr. sc. Ermira Tateshi presented the topic: “Down Syndrome, Refractive Errors and Brushfield Spots: A Case Report”, bringing into focus important issues related to the development and treatment of children with Down syndrome.
At the same time, a considerable number of the academic staff of the Pedagogical Faculty participated in the conference with online presentations, increasing the institutional presence and contribution to this international event.
During their stay in Durrës, the Vice-Dean for Education, Prof. Dr. Besa Havziu-Ismaili, together with Prof. Dr. Makfirete Ameti and Dr. Sc. Ermira Tateshi, held a meeting with the Dean, Klodiana Leka, where were discussed opportunities for deepening inter-institutional cooperation, developing joint projects, and organizing future academic activities between the two institutions.
Participation in this conference demonstrates the commitment of the Faculty of Pedagogy of the University of Tetova to internationalization, exchange of experiences, and advancement of quality in education, actively contributing to academic dialogue and the building of a more sustainable future in a global context.
