Faculty of Medical Sciences of the University of Tetova, today marked the April 7th – World Health Day. With the motto “Health for all”, the students of this faculty, through the organization of several activities in front of the Cultural Center in Tetovo, called for citizens to give priority to health, regardless of their social and economic status.
The observance of this date was established by the World Health Organization in 1948. This activity focuses on a specific topic related to global health. This year’s motto, “Health for all” aims to promote the idea that everyone, regardless of background or circumstances, should have access to the health system. Based on this fact, everyone must work to address the social, economic and environmental factors that affect health outcomes, and ensure that health care services are accessible, affordable and of good quality. Also, this motto includes promoting healthy behaviors and lifestyles, and addressing the root causes of health inequalities.
This activity also aims to raise the awareness of the population for the prevention of possible diseases. Based on this fact, it’s important to prioritize healthy habits, such as eating a balanced diet, exercising regularly, getting enough sleep, and managing stress. This can help reducing the risk of chronic diseases such as heart disease, diabetes and cancer. Special attention should also be paid to regular checks and examinations, in order to detect health problems as early as possible, since in such cases the treatment is easier. Good health is not only an individual responsibility, but also a collective one.
World Health Day is an annual event that aims to raise awareness of global health issues and promote initiatives to improve health outcomes for all.
