Prof. Dr. Berton Sulejmani, lecturer at the Faculty of Philology of the University of Tetova, participated in the International Scientific Conference “Albanian Studies among the South Slavs”, organized by the Kosova Academy of Sciences and Arts (KASA-ASHAK) and the Academy of Sciences of Albania (ASA-ASHSH). The conference proceedings took place in Prishtina on October 27–28, 2025, bringing together well-known scholars from Kosovo, Albania, North Macedonia, Bulgaria, Serbia, Croatia, Russia, Germany, and other countries.

On the first day of this important scientific event, Prof. Sulejmani presented a paper titled:
“Admirative forms in the Macedonian Language (in the dialectal dimension) as a result of language contact with Albanian: An interlinguistic analysis from the perspective of Veselinka Labroska”.
The study shows that the admirative mood in Macedonian, although not codified in the standard language, represents a structural borrowing mediated by the influence of the Albanian language in bilingual environments—particularly in the dialects of Western Macedonia.

With this scientific contribution, Prof. Dr. Berton Sulejmani expands the study of language contact in the Balkan area and introduces new approaches in Albanology. The paper focuses on the influence of Albanian on Macedonian in grammatical structure—an aspect less explored compared to traditional approaches that have emphasized the influence of Slavic languages on Albanian.
