At the invitation of the Lviv National Polytechnic University and the Ukrainian Academy of Mediation, the professor of the Faculty of Law at the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Faton Shabani, represented UT at the international scientific conference “Mediation & Universities 2.0”, held on November 14, 2025, at the Lviv National Polytechnic University, in co-organization with the Ukrainian Academy of Mediation. This conference brought together academics, scholars, judges, lawyers, mediators, as well as representatives from business and government, to discuss current trends and perspectives in the development of mediation.
Prof. Dr. Faton Shabani presented at this conference the latest findings from his research titled: “Practical Application of Mediation in Business”. According to him, mediation in the modern era is seen not only as a method of resolving disputes, but also as an innovative mechanism for transforming relations in various fields, including business. Disputes in business relations have proven suitable for resolution through the mediation procedure. The statistics processed by the author provide evidence that in North Macedonia the applicability of mediation in business is showing continuous growth.
