Rector of the University of Tetova held a lecture at the Summer School 2023

At the invitation of the American Corner in Tetovo, the Rector of the University of Tetovo, Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli lectured at the Summer School 2023, Journalism and Public Relation for Youth, with the topic: “Media, professional codex and political system in North Macedonia”. The lecture was held on August 21, at Kodër e Diellit (Sunny Hill) in Tetovo.

In the presence of young people, the Rector elaborated the forms of state power, the principle of unity and the principle of separation of state power, the parliamentary, presidential and mixed system, the attributes of the rule of law and democracy. In particular, he clarified the functioning of the parliamentary system of the Republic of North Macedonia, the basic constitutional institutions, the peculiarities of the organization and activity of the Assembly, the Government, the judicial power, the Constitutional Court, the Ombudsman and the territorial organization.

He also presented the freedom of the media in harmony with the country’s constitution, their role in building democracy and strengthening the rule of law. At the same time, he presented the main attributes of the American system of governance.

In this summer school also lectured the representatives of the United States Embassy and the European Union in Skopje.
