The heads of the workers’ unions of the public universities of North Macedonia, namely “Ss. Cyril and Methodius” University, University “St. Kliment Ohridski-Bitola, Goce Delcev University- Štip, were welcomed in a meeting by the Rector of the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli.
The leaders of the aforementioned workers’unions, together with the Head of the workers’ union of the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Shefket Dehari and Vice-President, Ali Salihi informed the Rector about the joint activities that the workers’ union has developed and plans to develop in the future, among which is the creation of the Union of workers’ Unions of Public Universities in the country.
Rector of UT congratulated them for this important step, appreciating their work so far, such as the signing of the Collective Agreement for salary increases for all employees in higher education in our country.
In this meeting was noted the positive role of unions in public institutions to respect the basic rights of employees and their contribution to the overall development of state universities in our country
