Rector of the University of Tetova Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli today met with the well-known philanthropist Mr. Lazim Destani. Today’s visit took place in the framework of the meetings that Rector, Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli conducts on the 30th anniversary of the University with well-known personalities from the fields of education, science, culture, art and entrepreneurship, especially with contributors who have helped this institution since the beginning of its educational-scientific activity.
The leaders of the UT over the years have appreciated the contribution of Mr. Lazim Destani as a lover of education, a humanist and a well-known activist. In this meeting, the Rector, Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli emphasized that this year, in addition to marking the 30th anniversary of its foundation (December 17, 1994 – December 17, 2024), also testifies to the complete consolidation of the University of Tetova in all institutional segments. Investments in the university campus, digitization of services, publications in international journals, as well as inter-university cooperation with prestigious universities from the region and the world, were highlighted here.
The Rector of the UT and the Philanthropist and Chairman of Ecolog’s Advisory Board Mr. Lazim Destani, assessed that the UT, as the first university in the Albanian language, for three decades in a row has played an essential role in the positive changes, education and emancipation of young people in our country.
At the end of this meeting, the Rector, Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli, bestowed to Mr. Lazim Destani the logo of the 30th anniversary of the founding of the University of Tetova.
