Rector of the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli, received in a working meeting the representatives of the International Publishing House MDPI AG. The meeting aimed to discuss opportunities for cooperation within the framework of the Institutional Open Access Program (IOAP).

During this meeting, were presented the opportunities offered by this program for the academic community, which aims to support researchers in publishing their scientific results in international journals. In particular, it was emphasized that authors affiliated with institutions participating in this program benefit from discounts on article processing charges (Article Processing Charges – APC) in MDPI journals, as well as additional benefits in editorial and publishing services.

The initiative to establish cooperation with MDPI was launched by the Union of Employees of the University of Tetova, with the aim of creating greater opportunities for the academic staff and researchers of the university to publish their work in international journals and to increase the capacity for scientific research.

Rector Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation with international publishers and promoting scientific research. He further stressed that collaboration with international institutions and publishing houses represents an important opportunity to enhance the quality and visibility of scientific research. University of Tetova remains committed to supporting researchers and advancing scientific activity at the international level.

At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to sign a cooperation agreement to create new opportunities that will contribute to the development of scientific research and the promotion of academic results at the international level. The agreement will enter into force on April 1, 2026, for an indefinite period, remaining in effect until it is terminated by mutual consent of the parties.
