Rector of the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Vullnet Ameti participated in the 3rd Annual Albanian Congress of Trauma & Emergency Surgery ACTES 2019.This scientific event was held from November 7 to 9, 2019, in the Albanian capital – Tirana. “The best education for trauma and emergency surgery” was the topic of this congress that brought together scientific researchers of trauma and emergency surgery from the Balkan countries, Europe and beyond. In the capacity of a special guest at the solemn opening of congress proceedings was invited the Rector of the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Vullnet Ameti. In front of the participants he congratulated the Albanian Society of Trauma and Emergency Surgery for organizing this scientific activity, for its dedication to medicine, with special emphasis on trauma and emergency surgery, also expressed his gratitude for the opportunities that offer to increase the level of cooperation between higher education institutions in our ethnic areas. University of Tetova, as one of the leading universities in the Republic of North Macedonia, together with other Albanian universities in the Republic of Albania, the Republic of Kosovo and beyond, is committed to advancing educational and scientific processes, but also in other fields that are important for the society in general. We highly appreciate the efforts of the organizers of this congress for their vital contribution to humanity and their commitment to a better education for trauma and emergency surgery. Medicine and other areas of primary importance have a key role in the preservation and development of peoples, so let us all engage in strengthening educational institutions, various social entities, that aim the education, emancipation and development of society in general”, said the Prof. Dr. Vullnet Ameti.
He further stated that despite the challenges and difficulties that we often face as university leaders, we appreciate that our universities and other legal entities stand up to the task they represent and only by successfully completing their educational and scientific activity, we can allow ourselves to say that we contribute to the overall development and progress of the nation. I wish that this third congress will deepen the inter-scientific cooperation and serve to expose the ideas, views and the alternative thinking.
